Rehearsal 2009-2010:

Rehearsals are held on Sundays during the academic year.  We meet in room 201 in Loeb Hall on the MU campus on the corner of 5th and Elm, across from the power plant.  Free parking is available on the weekends in the parking lot across from Loeb Hall.  In the event of bad weather (snow, ice, or tornado), and email message will be sent out to families to inform you of cancellation.  Cancellations will also be posted on KOMU.

Junior MYO rehearses on Sunday from 2-3:15pm.  We have engaging rehearsals that emphasize team work, sight reading, string playing fundamentals.  Music us usually performed in 3 to six part harmony.

Senior MYO rehearses on Sunday from 5-7pm with seating auditions and sectionals held on a rotating basis from 4-4:45.  Players should arrive fifteen minutes before the scheduled rehearsal time. We work on advanced symphonic repertoire that requires strong ability in the string, wind and brass sections.  Recent performances have included music from Brahms “Symphony No. 1”, Mark O’Connor’s “Americana Symphony”, Tchaikovsky’s “Capriccio Italien”.
